Direction the Salazie circus, the largest and most green of the island's circuses. You will take the time to admire one of the most beautiful waterfalls on the island, the Wedding Veil. Visit and installation in the village of Hell-Bourg, classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France. Discovery of traditional Creole huts and gardens in the heart of the region, and the Folio botanical museum.
After breakfast, departure for a 4.5 hour hike through the canyons and waterfalls of the fantastic Mafate circus, accessible only on foot or by helicopter. This haven of peace and beauty was originally inhabited by escaped slaves, impossible to find here. For the 3 hours of hiking of the day, the beginning will be the crossing of the Tabit pass (2,082 m) which gives a breathtaking view of the upper part of the Mafate circus. We can already see the cirque of Cilaos surrounded by huge cliffs called "ramparts" whose peaks dominate the island: the Piton des Neiges (3,070 m), the Gros Morne (2,991 m) and the Grand Bénare (2,896 m). Early departure for 4 hours of hiking to the Bras Rouge waterfall or the plateau des Chênes. Picnic lunch along the way then descent to the coast by local bus by the famous road cut into the cliff. Visit of the Saint-Pierre waterfront before going up to the high plateaus
Transfer to the active volcano of the Piton de la Fournaise (2,632 m). Discovery off the beaten track of the three calderas: rivière des Remparts, plaine des Sables and the Fouqué enclosure, a 150-metre-deep calderra with the piton de la Fournaise in the centre. Start your 4-hour hike in the heart of the lush Bélouve rainforest. An astonishing endemic forest where ferns are cheerfully over two metres high. This very beautiful stroll will allow you to have a breathtaking view of the abyss of the Trou de Fer, a 300 m waterfall. Picnic lunch along the way. Return to the cottage at the end of the afternoon.
Direction the wild southern region to discover the lava flows, the Vacoa forests and the often raging sea breaking on the superb cliffs of solidified lava. Lunch along the way. Then transfer in the middle of the afternoon to the lagoon of Saint-Gilles.
