• giorno 1 :

  Welcome to Reunion Island

  

  Freshly landed on Reunion Island, you are welcomed by our partner at the airport before being transferred to Hell-bourg. First step of your trip, you are in the heart of the circus of Salazie. You will visit La Villa Folio, before enjoying the rest of your day to explore as you wish and get a taste of Creole life.

• giorno 2 :

  Trek from Hell - Bourg to La Nouvelle

  

  After your breakfast you leave for your first hike to the "Col des bœufs". During your walk, which will last about 3 hours, you will reach the cirque of Mafate and cross the "Plaine des tamarins". You walk at your own pace, without any constraints, in a green and steep nature. Your day's hike ends when you reach the islet of "La Nouvelle", where you will sleep in a first gîte at altitude. Distance: 5.2 km. Duration: 2h30-3h00. Difference in altitude: -512m / +100m

• giorno 3 :

  Walk from La Nouvelle to Marla

  

  This morning you leave your gîte-stage and head back to the cirque of Mafate at the beginning of the day. On the way, you will come across "Les 3 Roches", a waterfall dug into a rocky abyss, where you will be able to take advantage of it to have a picnic before taking an invigorating swim in the river. After about 4 hours of walking, you will reach the island of Marla, where you will have dinner and sleep in a gîte. Distance: 9.8 km. Duration: 4 hours. Elevation gain: -300m / +600m

• giorno 4 :

  From Marla to the cirque of Cilaos

  

  A long and beautiful day's hike awaits you. You leave from your accommodation on the islet of Marla, and go through the Taïbit pass. From the top of the pass, you will enjoy an exceptional panorama of the two cirques. During your day's walk, your path will cross the îlet à Cordes, inhabited by slaves who used to flee by rope ladders. At the end of this 7-hour hike, you will arrive at the village of Cilaos. After your intense day of walking, enjoy your evening to relax in your hotel. Distance: 14.1 km. Duration: 7 hours. Difference in altitude: -1270m / +912m

• giorno 5 :

  Trek from Cilaos to Piton des Neiges

  

  This morning you are free to rest a little more and discover the village of Cilaos and its magnificent embroidery, a local craft.  After lunch at your hotel, departure for your day's hike to the highest point of the island: the Piton des Neiges. You will reach the gite in dormitory where you will have dinner. Distance: 6.5 km. Duration: 4 hours. Difference in altitude: +1100m

• giorno 6 :

  Piton des Neiges and volcano of La Fournaise

  

  Today you wake up early to resume the ascent of the Piton des Neiges. After a few hours of walking, you will discover, from its summit, one of the most beautiful landscapes of Reunion Island which is slowly awakening under the first light of the sun.  Take all the time you need to admire this fabulous spectacle, before going back down to your hotel in Cilaos for lunch. Now prepare to head south to the volcanic region of Reunion Island, where you will have your last dinner and overnight stay in a gîte. Distance: 10.5 km. Duration: 5h15. Difference in altitude: +590m / -1690m

• giorno 7 :

  Piton de La Fournaise hike, then chill in Saint-Gilles-Les-Bains

  

  On your last day of hiking, you will explore the incredible Piton de la Fournaise, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. From the "Pas de Bellecombes", the last caldera formed by the volcano, admire the magnificent panorama that spreads out before your eyes. For your final trek of this trip, you can choose the path you wish to take, depending on your desire for adventure. You then return to your hotel by the sea to enjoy a few days of relaxation in the sun! Elevation gain varies according to the route chosen.

• giorno 8 :

  Chill and Kayak in Saint-Gilles-Les-Bains

  

  Today, wake up to the turquoise waters of the Indian Ocean as your backdrop. For your first day of complete relaxation and disconnection, take time to walk along the beach with your feet in the sand. Enjoy the local cuisine at one of the many beachside restaurants before heading out on a guided tour on a transparent paddle or kayak to admire the ocean floor.  Then enjoy an evening at leisure to explore to your heart's content. Overnight at the hotel.

• giorno 9 :

  Free day Saint-Gilles-Les-Bains

  

  Another relaxing day of freedom is on offer today. Take the opportunity to explore the surroundings of Saint-Gilles-Les-Bains, to walk along its beaches, or to swim in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. In the late afternoon, embark on a cruise on crystal clear waters, where you will enjoy a Creole aperitif against the backdrop of a magnificent sunset. Dinner and final evening at leisure on Reunion Island.

• giorno 10 :

  Last moments in Saint-Gilles-Les-Bains

  

  This is your last day in this little piece of paradise in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Depending on your flight schedule, take advantage of still being in Saint-Gilles-Les-Bains to see the places you liked before being transferred to Saint Denis Roland Garros airport. You will leave rested, with your head filled with beautiful memories and magnificent landscapes.
