Disconnect from the first hour of your honeymoon. Forty-five minutes after leaving Agadir airport, you set off on the slopes of the High Atlas in a deep Berber country and leave civilization. Palm bouquets welcome you, then our charming tandem Luc and Hafida at their Atlas Terraces, a traditional house clinging to the mountains and enjoying an exceptional panarama. A Berber tasting meal awaits you, which you will take in love and candlelight in one of the many living spaces or in the company of your guests.
A day without a vehicle, at the local pace and totally tailor-made. Whether you want to bask in the sun on one of the property's many terraces, go on a bucolic hike to discover the local way of life or participate in a workshop like making local bread, argan oil or a typical tagine, your guests will adapt to you. A little Berber music with neignbors at the aperitif, a hammam with a wood fire, a tattoo with henna, your wedding already seems so far away!
Luc takes you aboard his 4x4 through the Anti-Atlas on a very scenic and uncrowded route, heading south, to discover deep valleys and gorges lined with palm trees. Near the village of Tissint, an astounding fixed camp has been set up in a hollow and in the middle of a 100% mineral, practically lunar setting. You will have a large private isolated tent and enjoy a candlelit dinner.
After a last refueling in Foum Zguid, we leave the asphalt to embark on the desert area of Erg Chegaga which extends till the end of the Drâa Valley in Mhamid. Picnic at the place called the three wells. Then crossing of Lake Iriki, hopefully dry, with frequent mirages. We drive out of the beaten track to head towards a little-known erg, du Diable, where the temperature in summer can be ... hellish! We choose a bivouac site where we want, at the foot of the dunes, to set up camp for two nights. The idea is to immerse yourself in the desert, far from the hordes of tourists, and enjoy its magic. Accommodation in a simple, traditional nomadic tent. This does not prevent us from having the drinks of our choice in the fridge and a good Berber meal in the evening, under the immense starry sky.
No road today, you are in 'slow tourism' mode and totally disconnected. Breakfast in bed at the time of your choice. Then as you wish: walking in the dunes, baking bread in the sand, searching for fossils, brainwashing, rest ... Second night in the dunes.
If we take the road back, the stay in the desert is not over yet. We drive along the mountain of the Small M'Douer taking the bed of the Oued Drâa to take a track along the walls of the Big M'Douer to a postcard oasis facing beautiful rock formations worthy of the Monument Valley in the States ! While Luc sets up back the bivouac again, you can explore these formations or take a natural shower at the well. The bivouac under the palm trees is really pleasant, even if the place is starting to become a little known. Campfire.
After dismantling the bivouac, we take a tarmac road through the Anti-Atlas to Tazenakht, the carpet capital, and then drive along the southern slopes of the High Atlas to Taliouine, the saffron capital. Once in Taroudant, discover the sumptuous gardens of Dar Al Hossoun, a 4* establishment, and recharge your batteries at the spa. Accommodation in a junior suite.
