What comes to mind when you hear the word Morocco, the land of dreams? You certainly think of the thousand and one nights in Marrakech and the beautiful days on the beaches of Agadir. Morocco is booming with both traditionalism and modernity. It is a country with many different aspects that are equally beautiful. So, if you have ever thought about visiting Morocco, then this is your chance. Come with us as we begin our journey to the imperial cities of Morocco.
Day 1: Marrakech - Tadart - Telouet - Ait ben haddou - Skoura - Dades Valley
Day 2: Dades Valley - Todgha Gorges - Erfoud - Meraouga - Camel Trek - Desert Camp
Day 3: Camel Trek - Merzouga Village - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Ifrane - Fez
Day 4: Fez
Day 5: Fez - Meknes - Volubilis - Rabat
Day 6: Rabat - Casablanca - Marrakech
Departure from Marrakech at 7h am, 2 hours after we will be about to cross Tizi n Tichka pass, with some pauses to shoot nice pictures of a breathtaking natural landscapes and different views. We will take breakfast on the road and we will continue until the town of Tilouet to visit its fabulous Kasbahs.
Before reaching Ouarzazate, we will drive you to visit ksar ait ben haddou, a Kasbah which is inscribed on the list of the world inheritance of UNESCO where we’ll have our lunch. Then we will proceed to visit the different sites and studios where famous and known films were turned. Leaving Ouarzazate to the north east will drive us to Skoura, a beautiful oasis where marvelous Kasbahs are decorating the area. After that, we will continue toward Dades Valley. The night is in a Hotel in Dades Valley.
Departure to Todgha to discover the Todgha Gorge and visit the small town of Tinjdad. After lunch, we will head to Erfoud, the capital of the East and the symbol of simplicity, we also have the neighboring town of Rissani, cradle of the civilization of Sijilmasa and the Alaoui dynasty. We will then arrive at the fascinating and magical Merzouga and Erg Chebbi which is one of the highest and largest dune areas of the Moroccan Sahara [Where the second is Erg Chabbi, in Mhamid El Ghizlane]. It is time to rest after a Berber tea with nomads. At 5:30 pm, camels will take you from the hotel on an excursion through the dunes to watch the sunset and enjoy tea with the nomads in the camp under the golden sun of this southern queen. Different rhythms of southern music will accompany you along the way. Night under the tent.
We will return to the hotel for breakfast and then head to Fez. On our way to Fez, we will pass through many beautiful places like Arfoud, Errachidia, the Ziz valley, one of the most amazing and fabulous oasis and valleys in the world, bringing together the beauty of the sand, the gold of the palm trees and the blue of the water. Heading north, we will pass through the largest cedar forest in Africa surrounding beautiful small towns like Azrou and Ifrane where we will have a short break. We will arrive in Fez in less than an hour, then we will drive you to the hotel or to Riyadh.
Fez is the oldest imperial city in Morocco. On our fourth day, we will explore Fez and its ramparts. We will also explore the old medina (Fez El Bali) and the mosques, souks, madrasas or Islamic schools, the Jewish quarter and the first university in the world ALQUARAWIYINE. In addition to these, we will also discover and see the exterior of the Royal Palace. We will then have a delicious lunch in a traditional restaurant located in the center of Fez.
After breakfast, we will drive to another imperial city, known as the Ismaili capital, Meknes. The next stop will be to visit the ruins of an ancient Roman city, Volubilis, before exploring a beautiful and historic little town called Moulay Drisd Zarhoun. At the end of our tour there, the road will lead us to Rabat where we will spend the last night. The night is at the Riyadh.
A visit to the capital of Morocco, where you will have the chance to visit the Royal Palace and the Hassan Tower, the Kasbah des Oudayas and the Mausoleum of Mohammed 5, the grandfather of the Moroccan King. We will then guide you to Casablanca, to the archaic and new city, the metropolitan city of Morocco and the most populated, where you will visit the most beautiful mosque in the world which is the Hassan II Mosque, just built on the sea, before returning to Marrakech.
