Discovering Suriname

Trip description

When you have 15 days or more, you will discover this beautiful country in greater depth, far from the great capital, and will be able to enjoy the peaceful and carefree lifestyle of its inhabitants, to the rhythm of the river. You will also need to rent a vehicle (be careful when driving on the left) if you want to go to the different localities by your own means. Some taxis or buses can also take you quite far. You will be able to get to know the different cultures present on the territory and visit the many nature reserves that Suriname has during your stay. The west coast with its unique ecosystem, the border river with Guyana and its many jumps that will allow you to refresh yourself offer a real moment of relaxation to travellers in search of calm. A long stay will also allow you to learn about the Amazonian forest, for sportsmen and non-sportswomen, and to dive into the different rivers, which are so different from each other. Be careful not to embark on an adventure in the forest alone: experienced guides will be able to advise you, whether you wish to travel alone or with others.
