Bus transfer to downtown Nassau. Horse-drawn carriage ride in the colonial city. Visit the Heritage Museum and the Graycliff cigar factory, then the National Art Gallery and the small Educulture centre dedicated to the Junkanoo carnival, nearby. A must-see stroll in the Straw Marketthe basketry market, and along the famous Bay Street. A charming detour to Balcony House, the oldest house in the city, and depending on the time you have left, don't forget the Slavery and Emancipation Museum and the Pirates of Nassau Museum. Dinner option if you fall on a Friday: the fish fry on Arawak Cay, with its colourful dance halls facing Fort Charlotte; guaranteed atmosphere!
Transfer by bus to downtown Nassau and then to water taxi towards Paradise Island. Enjoy the dynamic, on board to learn more about the island, and above all to enjoy the she atmosphere of the place. Morning at Dolphin Encounters, where children's dreams become reality as you meet dolphins or lions... In the afternoon, stroll and shop in the various shops and various shops of the marina... Beware of the wallet! Other option: one day excursion from Paradise Island. By boat, discovery of the Exumas Cays, the wild islands at the Robinson Crusoe, the deserted or inhabited beaches of lizards and pigs (very good swimmers!). Back to the hotel late in the day.
Early morning departure for Long Island: plan to arrive at the airport 2 hours before takeoff. Arrival in Long Island - Stella Maris or Deadman's Cay depending on the drop point chosen: in the north, a favourite for the Cape Santa Maria hotel and its superb fine sandy beach; in the centre, if you prefer more isolation, head for the Greenwich Creek Lodge.
Rental of a car for tour of Long Island: the Columbus Monument, the Long Island museum-library, lunch at Max's Conch Bar for a real bahaméenne experience, visit Hamilton's Cave (provide a guide the day before) and twin churches. Take a head in the Dean's Blue Hole, the world's deepest blue hole, to complete the day.
Beach, kayaking, diving or fishing trip; take advantage of this last day to enjoy nature activities.
Return to Nassau for return flight.
