Day 1 : Arrival in Sri Lanka

Welcome to Sri Lanka! Your driver will welcome you and drive you to Negombo, a small seaside town located 20 minutes from the airport. On the way to your hotel, you acclimatize to the local life and its colorful tuk tuk, small shops, beautiful dagobas and wide Sri Lankan smiles.




Day 2 : From Negombo to Sigiriya

In the morning, discover the big fish market of Negombo, a mix of colours and scents. Then enjoy the sweetness of the Muthurajawela marsh, accompanied by the singing of birds, during a beautiful boat trip. You then go to the cultural centre of the country, in Sigiriya.




Day 3 : Sigiriya and Minneriya Park

Today, climb the legendary Lion Rock of Sigiriya, transformed into a fortress in the 5th century. From the top of the rock, the view of the jungle is exceptional. Then you take a jeep ride not far from here, for a safari in the Minneriya National Park, in search of the many elephants that live there.




Day 4 : From Sigiriya to the Knuckles Mountains

In the morning you stop at the ancient caves of Dambulla, perched on a rock overlooking the valley. Then you take the Spice Road to the Knuckles Range. From Kandy, the shape of the mountain range resembles a closed fist, hence the name Knuckles.




Day 5 : Knuckles to Kandy

This morning is devoted to hiking, at the foot of the grandiose Knuckles Mountains, with their abundant biodiversity, between tea and rice plantations. Then the radiant and spiritual town of Kandy awaits you. At the end of the day you will go to the Tooth Temple, an extremely important Buddhist place in the country.




Day 6 : From Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

This morning, go to the sublime botanical garden of Peradeniya, to discover countless trees and exotic plants, improvised homes of monkeys and bats. Then you will go deep into the tea plantations in the direction of Nuwara Eliya, the favourite city of the English in the 19th century.




Day 7 : From Nuwara Eliya to Ella

In the early morning you hike across the Hortons Plains highlands to the side of the "World's End" with its breathtaking views. Then you go to Ella, a lively resort nestled in the mountains and tea plantations, in the middle of a green and invigorating nature, starting point for beautiful walks.

Use your morning to explore Ella's surroundings and climb to the top of Little Adam's Peak. Then take the train through the tea plantations to Haputale, for a beautiful hike through the small terraced vegetable gardens that adorn the landscape before meeting the local gardeners and returning to Ella.




Day 9 : From Ella to Uda Walawe

Travel by tuk tuk to the Lipton Seat, for a fun and authentic outing in the tea fields to meet the beautiful Sri Lankan tea pickers. Then drive to Uda Walawe National Park via the impressive Rawana Falls.




Day 10 : From Uda Walawe to Yala National Park

At dawn you take a Jeep into Uda Walawe National Park in search of the extraordinary wildlife that makes it up. A magical excursion in the reserve where you can see elephants but also buffalo, crocodiles, monkeys and many birds. Then your driver will drive you to Yala, another national park on the island that you will explore the next day.




Day 11 : From Yala to Galle

New day to meet the animals of Sri Lanka! With your Jeep you drive through the Yala National Park. The grail is to see the mythical leopard of Sri Lanka, a majestic and mysterious feline. After these magical moments, head west to the walled city of Galle, along the southern coast of the island.

The region of Galle is made up of beautiful rice fields that you will discover by bike in the morning. In the afternoon, you will stroll in the fort of Galle with its undeniable charm, dotted with small streets, artists' studios, old villas, good restaurants and local shops.




Day 13 : From Wales to Colombo Airport



This is your last day in Sri Lanka, so you will be driving to the airport according to your flight schedule. If you have time, stop at Balapitiya, for a river trip on the Madhu Ganga, in the middle of the mangroves. Once at the airport, you say goodbye to your driver and Sri Lanka, memories in your head.
