We continue on our way and head for the Glenfinnan Viaduct, famous for its dimensions and the environment in which it is embedded. The beautiful landscape was chosen to be part of the Harry Potter saga opening the way for the Hogwarts train to its destination.

After returning to the vehicle we will continue touring the island and stop at Kilt Rock, a waterfall that falls directly into the sea from the cliffs of the east coast of Skye.
We continue onwards and arrive to the Quiraing. This site has earned the nickname "Balcony of Skye" because of the incredible scenery that can be seen from the crest of the mountain range.

This place certainly conveys the peace and quiet that is also found in the wilderness of Skye. For more than an hour we can discover this corner made up of mountains, waterfalls, beaches, cliffs, islands, etc. An incomparable beauty.
Getting to know the native fauna of this place is part of the experience,
and who knows, with a little luck, we might be surprised by the dolphins!

We will walk for 30 minutes enjoying the landscape until the end of the path where we will have the opportunity to contemplate this gift of nature. The path is classified as easy.
On the way to Plockton, we will stop at the old bridge of Sligachan. Without a doubt this is another perfect place to continue taking photos. The landscape of the mountain range with the river that goes down the valley and flows into the sea makes this place another obligatory stop on our way.
We return to our hotel in the fishing village of Plockton.
We said goodbye to the fishing village of Plockton to face a day full of history and legends.
Our first stop will be at the famous Eilean Donan Castle. This castle is one of the most sought after by travellers and has been featured in numerous films. Today we will spend plenty of time getting to know the lake and our first activity will be to embark on a cruise that will navigate its dark waters until we reach the most beautiful spot of Loch Ness. There Urquhart Castle awaits us.
Urquhart Castle is a fabulous fortress that houses many chapters of history that our guide will tell you about and that you will be able to discover in its interior. Without a doubt, this is the most charming place on the lake. The combination of the castle ruins with the lake and the mountains in the background offers its visitors a unique picture worth photographing and remembering. Both the cruise and the visit to the castle are included.
After the visit, we will head to the capital of the Highlands - the city of Inverness. Inverness is a small town with a charming centre across the River Ness. The rest of the day will be spent in the city where, after checking in at the hotel, we will be able to go out for lunch and visit the most emblematic places as well as walk around the city centre or along the river. We will have the opportunity to mingle with its people by visiting some pubs, learning about its culture, enjoying its gastronomy or doing some shopping for those who wish.
Our hotel in the centre of Inverness is always available in the afternoon.
We change the scenery and cross the Cairngorms National Park to the North Sea on the east coast.
There we find the fishing town of Stonehaven where we will go up to the viewpoint to admire its bay which is one of the most photographed bays of Scotland.
Just behind us, a path begins that flies over the coastal cliffs. It is a 45-minute walk that will undoubtedly stay in our minds. The path is not dangerous and is classified as easy. It is a moment to enjoy the path while enjoying the views that this magical place offers us.
But the reward comes at the end of the trail. The path ends at Dunnottar Castle. This castle is considered the most beautiful in Scotland by many guides and travellers. Situated in a unique setting on a promontory separated from the mainland, its foundations stand facing the sea on cliffs over 80 metres high.
The combination of all the elements makes it a delight for travellers to take the perfect picture. We will have the opportunity to visit inside the castle (ticket included) and learn about the history of this peculiar place.

We leave the city of Dundee to travel to the heart of Scotland where we will enter the Hermitage Forest.
A 45min trail along the River Braan will take us to some beautiful waterfalls where, with a bit of luck, we will see the salmon jumping up the river. The tallest trees in the UK will keep us company along the way.
We will then head to the Victorian town of Pitlochry, a perfect example of Victorian architecture in honour of Queen Victoria. Here we will replenish our strength before our cultural visit to the distillery.

We continue the afternoon and go to Culross, another charming village by the Firth of Forth and which has featured in the Outlander series. You'll never want to leave!
Our journey continues and we cross the estuary to reach the Kelpies. The Kelpies are two famous 30-metre stainless steel sculptures, depicted as two giant horse heads. They are full of mythology and leave all travellers speechless.
We reach the end point of this exciting 7 day tour and only 45 minutes away is the point from where we departed, the city of Edinburgh, where we will say goodbye to the guide who will take us to our place of accommodation.
