The "express visit" option is increasingly popular in the Icelandic capital. It can be a long weekend with a round trip from Paris, or a stopover on a transatlantic flight (Paris - United States or Canada) on Icelandair (which also offers packages in this direction).

City centre walking tour: climb up the Hallgrímskirkja bell tower, tour of Lake Tjörnin (and its birds), stroll through the old quarter of colourful houses and first discover the warm local cafés. In the evening, join the Icelanders at the Laugardalur swimming pool to end the day, immersed in naturally warm water.

Spend the morning in one of the city's beautiful museums, the one Musée national,that offers a wonderful and lively exhibition on the country's history. At noon, go on a trip to the Golden Circle, see Geysir, Gulfoss and Þingvellir, major Icelandic sites (to be booked the day before). In the evening (Friday or Saturday), experience the Runtur, the name of Reykjavík's legendary nights. We go from ad to ad every day to drink, dance and listen to groups. Evenings start late, but allow to see a people suddenly lose all their shyness and inhibitions.

Morning to wander around the port and the flea market Kólaportið, a concentrate of popular Iceland. Enjoy place shark or visit Saegreifinn to sample skewers Fresh fish or lobster soup to get mad. If your plane leaves in the evening, take advantage of the Blue Lagoon + Flight packages, to relax in the warm and laiteuses waters of a lagoon in the middle of the volcanic rocks, before returning to the airport.
