day 1:
Discovering local lifeThrough a light and bucolic hike in an exceptional setting, your guests take you through fields and along a wadi in the heart of this high Atlas Valley to meet the peasants and explain the local way of life that has changed so little in decades. The walk is also suitable for swimming depending on the season and the level of the last precipitation. A picnic can be organized along the way. A tea in Hafida's family may also be planned, with simplicity.
day 2:
High-altitude waterfalls and sheepfoldsHop aboard a Land Rover to penetrate a high valley on an impressive and scenic track. Once you reach the cul-de-sac, you have the opportunity to continue on foot, depending on your physical fitness, up as high as you like on the side of the Jebel Aoulime which tumbles to 3500 meters. The air and water are pure, bathing at 2500 m altitude invigorating, the mint tea prepared on an wood fire energizing. The most sporty can pass the last stone shepfolds and then climb higher the mountain to enjoy great panoramas.
day 3:
Berber gastronomyIf the calendar allows it, you could discover the weekly souk of the nearby commune and its paying parkings for donkeys! Participate in the purchase of local food and then prepare in the company of Hafida an original tagine enhanced by some aromas from the garden. Put your hand to knead a bread dough, make beautiful patties and bake them in the hearth of the anoual or in the earthy oven. Then taste all this, perhaps accompanied by a local vintage.
day 4:
Panoramic bivouacTime to prepare our bags and harness the donkeys, and we are gone amid argan trees to attack the hills facing the Atlas Terraces. We mount a wild bivouac on a nipple offering a 360 degree panoramic view of the high peaks and valley, in absolute calm. Not an electrical wire, not an antenna, not a building on the horizon. The most motivated will explore the pasture plateau while the others will relax. The bivouac does not prevent an aperitif or a good meal around the fire.
day 5:
Hiking on the ridgesOnce the camp is dismantled, we can begin a great walk back, the length of which will be adapted according to your physical form and which will allow you to enjoy grandiose landscapes and then cross typical Berber villages.
day 6:
Berber-like relaxationAt the guesthouse, let's take care of our sore bodies. In the morning, we offer you to do a workshop to make argan oil during which you can participate in all stages of the preparation. Then enjoy our traditional wood-fired steam room. How about a henna session for the ladies? We will end the day with a little Berber music with neighbors.
day 7:
Bucolic hikingWe offer a final day of bucolic hiking to another ridge, just as scenic but of a completely different kind. Barbecue on the ridge and return by a gorge frequented only by shepherds. You can fly back the next day.
