Stay program

• day 1:

  SJO Int. Airport - Alajuela (15min)

  

  We will meet you at the airport before taking you to your first accommodation in the city of Alajuela. This short trip will allow us to give you your travel journal and your local SIM card. 1 night in Alajuela.

• day 2:

  Alajuela - Santa Teresa (5h)

  

  After picking up your rental car / meeting your driver guide, you will reach the port of Puntarenas from where you will cross the Gulf of Nicoya by ferry. You will then take the road to Santa Teresa from where you will contemplate your first sunset over the Pacific Ocean. 4 nights in Santa Teresa.

• day 3:

  Santa Teresa

  

  Suivez un cours de surf de 2h dans des conditions exceptionnelles et avec un surfeur local afin de vous remettre à l'eau le plus agréablement possible.  

• day 4:

  Santa Teresa - Playa Hermosa (30min RT)

  

  Découvrez les plages de sable fin qui font la renommée de la région. Sur la route, une escale permet, lorsque la marée est basse, de profiter du calme des piscines naturelles.

• day 5:

  Santa Teresa - Cabo Blanco (3h RT)

  

  Excursion matinale dans la réserve nationale absolue de Cabo Blanco, la plus ancienne zone protégée du Costa Rica ! Une randonnée de moins de 10 km (RT) permet de découvrir la biodiversité de cette région du pays.

• day 6:

  Santa Teresa - Carara N.P. - Playa Hermosa (4h)

  

  Morning departure to reach Puntarenas by ferry from where you will then take the Costanera Sur to Playa Hermosa. On the way, a stopover in the Carara National Park allows you to discover typical ecosystems of both dry and humid forests. 2 nights in Playa Hermosa.

• day 7:

  Playa Hermosa

  

  New day on one of the most famous surf spots in Costa Rica, Playa Hermosa, which regularly hosts competitions.

• day 8:

  Playa Hermosa - Ojochal (2h30)

  

  Departure for the village of Ojochal which develops in harmony with a sparkling fauna and flora! Take advantage of your free afternoon to enjoy the observation of red macaws, monkeys and why not, for the luckiest, a sloth? 3 nights in Ojochal.

• day 9:

  Ojochal

  

  Embark on a kayak for an excursion of more than 5 hours that will allow you to discover a tiny part of the mangroves of Terraba Sierpe as well as the amazing Isla Garza.

• day 10:

  Ojochal - Uvita (30min RT)

  

  Take the day to discover the beauty of the beaches of the region where the mountains flow into the ocean. An excursion to the Marino Ballena National Park allows you to discover the protected terrestrial and marine ecosystems of the area.

• day 11:

  Ojochal - Puerto Jiménez (2h30)

  

  Departure for the Osa Peninsula, and more specifically for the small town of Puerto Jiménez. At nightfall, a passionate of the biodiversity of the region (and above all of jaguar) will guide you during a 2-hour walk to meet nocturnal animals. 3 nights in Puerto Jimenez.  

• day 12:

  Puerto Jiménez - Dos Brazos (1h RT)

  

  Day of adventure with a member of the community of Dos Brazos who will guide you on the trails frequented by gold diggers located on the edge of the Corcovado National Park.

• day 13:

  Puerto Jiménez - Carate (5h RT)

  

  Meeting at sunrise with your naturalist guide. After 2 hours of broken trails, several rivers crossed and 2 km of walking on the beach, you will finally reach the Corcovado National Park, which alone is home to more than 2.5% of the planet's biodiversity!

• day 14:

  Puerto Jiménez - Pavones (3h30)

  

  Departure for Pavones, one of the last villages located on the Pacific coast before the border with Panama. Preserved from mass tourism, you will discover an authentic Costa Rica, with the bonus of memorable sunsets over the Corcovado. 3 nights in Pavones.

• day 15:

  Pavones

  

  Still unknown to the general public because it is far away from the classic tourist circuits, Pavones offers one of the longest waves in the world! In a paradisiac atmosphere, set off to conquer this left.

• day 16:

  Pavones

  

  The village of Pavones abounds with many other wonders, and a yoga session at sunset is one of them.

• day 17:

  Pavones - Dominical (3h30)

  

  Departure for the village of Dominical where you will end your stay in a festive and colorful atmosphere. 3 nights in Dominical.

• day 18:

  Dominical

  

  On horseback or 4x4, discover the Nauyaca waterfalls which are among the most beautiful in the country. A typical lunch is included in the excursion.

• day 19:

  Dominical

  

  Enjoy this last day of surfing and a sumptuous sunset over the Pacific Ocean.  

• day 20:

  Dominical - SJO Int. Airport (4h)

  

  Departure to the SJO International Airport. Return of the rental vehicle or goodbye with your driver guide and check-in for international flights. Pura Vida!
