Travel back in time through Córdoba, Granada and Seville, travel through the hinterland roads for a complete change of scenery in the heart of the "Pueblos Blancos", and sunbathe on the beautiful beaches of the Costa Tropical. Our handset will give you the best overview of this region of a thousand cultures. Sometimes welcomed by its natives in selected rural hotels, sometimes staying in renowned hotels in the provincial capitals, you will stroll through the intoxicating jasmine streets of the Albaicin Granada, along the impressive Tajo fault in Ronda, the cradle of bullfighting, or along the Guadalquivir in Seville, the capital of Flamenco.

  • day 1:

    Flight to Malaga

    Flight to Malaga

    Flight to Malaga. Pick up of the rental car at the airport and drive to the city centre. Things to see in Málaga: the Picasso Museum, La Encarnación Cathedral and Gibralfaro Castle, built in the 14th century to defend the masterly Alcazaba de Málaga, one of the best preserved Muslim military buildings in Spain. Overnight in the Petit Palace Plaza.

    Malaga, Ronda (100 km)

    After visiting Málaga, take the road inland towards Ronda. Between Muslim buildings, aristocratic hotels, beautiful Andalusian mansions and churches, don't miss out on a stroll through the small cobbled streets of its old quarter. On the edge of the Tajo Gorge and its impressive fault line, you are staying at the Hotel Montelirio, a romantic address in the heart of ancient Andalusia.

    This stopover on the way to Seville is characterised by the diversity of landscapes and the wide open spaces you will encounter. On the way, you will see the archaeological site of the Roman ruins of Acinipo and its exceptional panorama, the village of Grazalema (the rainiest in Spain!) famous for its textile crafts, Zahara de la Sierra and its impressive Nasrid defensive system... an itinerary that is sometimes lined with lush vegetation, desolate landscapes, high mountains and cultivated plains. Accommodation for 2 nights in a chic and authentic hotel in the city centre.

    Sevilla

    A day dedicated to visiting the Andalusian capital, cheerful, bright and warm. It is still one of the epicentres of Spanish culture: the heritage of the Arab dynasties is still very present, as are the traces of the influence and wealth that followed the colonial period. Not to be missed in Seville: the Alcázar and its gardens, the Cathedral and the Giralda (an Almohad minaret converted into a bell tower), the Plaza de España without missing out on a few tapas in the Santa Cruz district!

    On the road to Granada: Córdoba, mainly known for its mosque-cathedral, a prodigy of spatial harmony that sums up the apogee of the Caliphate's architecture. Córdoba illuminates with the grandeur of its past, which was Roman, Jewish, Arab and Christian in turn. The flowery patios and balconies invite you to lose yourself in its narrow streets, before continuing your journey, dotted with white villages, fortified towns and castles, towards Granada. Settling in for 2 nights at your hotel, at the foot of the Alhambra, in the historic centre of Granada.

    At the foot of the Sierra Nevada and close to the Costa Tropical, Granada has always been a popular destination. The thousand-year-old atmosphere, the charm of the squares in the picturesque Albaicín quarter, the magnificence of the still preserved medieval palatial city, the Alhambra, or the gypsy quarter of Sacromonte with its troglodytic dwellings are all features that make the experience of the traveller in Granada unique and unforgettable. From your hotel, a magnificent example of a Hispano-Muslim building, you are ideally located to make these different excursions and to enjoy the many bars and restaurants in the centre in a lively atmosphere.

    Back to the open spaces and road to the coast. On your way, you have the opportunity to take a break in the mountainous region of the Alpujarras, with its white villages and deep valleys that served as the last strongholds for the Muslims after the Reconquista. You can also take advantage of this privileged climate in Salobreña or Almuñecar, before stopping for the night in Nerja, the balcony of Europe.

    Extend your stay or drive to Málaga airport and return your rental car to the airport. Return flight.
