Lovers of colonial architecture will find their happiness there. About 1,000 km off the Ecuadorian coast, the Galápagos archipelago, consisting of 19 volcanic islands, is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including iguanas, birds, tortoises, sharks, and sea lions. The valley of the volcanoes has more than forty volcanoes along the Andes mountain range, between Quito and Riobamba.
