Visit the architectural heritage of the historic centre of the province's capital (cathedral, Arab baths, Jewish quarter), lunch on the terrace, then discover the modernist Casa Masó and the very good cinema Museum. If the opportunity and the finances arise, dine at the famous Celler de Can Roca.
Small morning walk in the Llémena valley before taking the direction of Banyoles for a well-deserved lunch on the shores of the lake. Afternoon dedicated to discovering the city, its native link with the lake area and its museums. Then direction the singular natural space of the Estunes, and then the museum of erotic ciel of the Facetious Xicu. Return to Banyoles for a mini-cruise on the lake at sunset.
Walk in the medieval Besalú and its famous bridge, discover the Romanesque heritage and the Jewish heritage of one of the most picturesque villages in the Garrotxa. Breakfast with a view of the river at the restaurant of "volcanic cuisine" La Cúria Reial. In the afternoon, Direction and its 40 volcanoes, the modern and modernist city centre, are the ascent of the Montsacopa volcano. Catalan dinner at the nice Hostal del Sol, or at the gastronomic table of Les Cols.
On the road of Ripoll, a little stop to Sant Joan de les Abadesses for visiting its monastery and the abbey palace, then guided tour of the monastery Santa Maria de Ripoll and its impressive Roman portal, to combine with that of the Scriptorium and the very good ethnologist museum before requinquer at La Taverneta. More rural afternoon, with the visit of the Camprodon Valley: the modernist stroll of Maristany, the wildlife Park of Molló and the sumptuous medieval village of Beget. If weather permits, visit the valley of Ribes with dinner and night at Resguards dels Wind.
Ascent by rack train to the Sanctuary of Núria to climb a little higher, with the aim of targeting the splendid Catalan Cerdanya. Visit of Puigcerdà before lunch at the typical and elegant Ca La Núria, then direction Llívia where we will discover the oldest pharmacy in Europe. Sporty afternoon: golf, mountain hiking or mountain biking, as you wish.
Direction South to discover the training of water: Santa Coloma de Farners to learn more about ratafia, Caldes de Malavella to take care of yourself in great thermal water after the visit of the ancient Roman thermal baths, Sant Hilari Sacalm and its 100 springs. After eating, a stop is required in the ethnological museum of Arbuciès, where you can admire the hidden history of the region, populated by robbers and witches, before you go hiking in the heart of the beautiful Guilleries park.
Day hike in the splendid and majestic Montseny massif, with picnic on the ridges, before returning to Girona at the end of the day for a delicious artisanal ice cream at Rocambolesc. And why not take a look at one of the beaches on the nearby Costa Brava!
