You walk through tea plantations and pass through Limbus, Rais and Brahmin villages. After a day of warming up in the Ilam tea plantations, you reach Phidim and walk through banana and bamboo plantations .... Gradually you leave the terraced fields and gain height.... Early in the morning, you take a domestic flight to East Nepal. It is in Biratnagar, a lower region of Nepal and a town on the India-Nepal border, where you take a collective transport to Dharan. Between Itahari and Dharan, in a small local tea-shop, you take a tea or tchya before continuing the road towards Dharan, city at the foot of the medium mountains. You continue on the mountain road, and cross the bridge over the Tamor river. Some photo breaks: villages, people, rice fields, landscapes. Continue the mountain road to Hile.

After breakfast, you take the road to the highlands of Gufa Pokhari. The road passes through a forest of rhododendrons and in Basantapur, the most important village and typical commercial centre of the region, you have tea with the locals and share a moment with the Limbu people, Bhramanes, etc. You continue the drive through the rhododendrons and have lunch in Chowki at a school teacher's house. Enjoy beautiful views of the Himalayas including Mt. Makalu (8463m). Judicial transfer to Gufa Pokhari, an ethnically diverse village on a small, peaceful lake. From the village, the view is splendid on the Kanchenjunga (8586m) and the Janu (7710m) but also on the Baruntse (7129 m), the Chamlang (7319 m) and the Makalu (8481 m), which is held in the sacred lake of Gufa Pokhari

Splendid sunrise to enjoy the view of the high peaks of the eastern Himalayas, which have turned majestically into the sacred lake of Gufa Pokhari. It is a magical place of strange and silent beauty. This is the area where we find the largest variety of rhododendrons, Nepal's national and iconic flower. We can also see herds of beautiful Yaks here. Easy round trip to Milke Danda to enjoy the views of the Himalayan ranges, rhododendron forest, share tea and smiles with the local people: Sherpas, Limbus, Brahmins...

C'est la journée la plus soutenue du trek avec une alternance de montées et de descentes. Vous traversez une zone couverte de forêts denses de rhododendrons, de magnolias et de châtaigniers, puis suivez la crête sur plusieurs vallées, forêts et sommets. En prenant votre temps, vous marchez jusqu'au village de Samthang.

In Samthang, we spend Days 6 and 7. A beautiful sunrise over Mt. Janu (7710m), probably one of the most beautiful mountains in the Himalayas and Kanchanjungha (8586m), the 3rd highest mountain in the world. D6 and D7 => During these 2 days, hiking: possibility to walk as much as you want, talking with your guide: 2h per day, or 3, or 4.... Go to different villages, people, schools .... Or help in the fields if you wish: bring herbs for the goats or milk a cow... It would be a total immersion in a lost village of an authentic Nepal.... This day: sunrise; breakfast and walk to Bhagawati without any significant difference in altitude. Lunch at Sakranti Bazaar, a small commercial centre in the region.

After breakfast you descend through giant rhododendrons. It is a gradual descent through the villages of Hwaku, Iwa, that we arrive at the small village of Chhatedhunga.

Une jolie route nous mène dans le Teraï oriental, situé à la frontière avec l'Inde, non loin de Darjeeling. Nous prenons le temps de découvrir les petits villages typiques, disséminés entre les rizières. Nous nous promenons de village en village, et apprécions l'ambiance typique du Teraï : rizières, palmiers, bananiers constituant le décor authentique de cette région. C'est un changement radical par rapport à ce que vous aurez vu les jours précédents.
