For your stay on Haiti, we propose you to discover its unknown architecture. Many of the colonial fortifications were used to defend the territory. As for the beaches, we have compiled a small list of those you can test.
Day 1: Haitian defensive system circuit
Day 2: Haiti sports
Day 3: South coast, from beach to beach
Day 4: Discovery of the North Shore
There are many architectural remains from the colonial period and Haitian independence in the territory. Forts are scattered all over the place, on the coasts and inland: from the artillery park of the Ramiers fortified site protecting the impressive Citadelle La Ferrière (National Historical Park, near Milot, classified by UNESCO) to Fort Rivière (Saint-Raphaël), we discover the Haitian defensive system itself, while the structures of the bay of Fort-Liberté (Fort La Bouque, Fort Saint-Frédéric, Batterie de l'AnseFort Saint-Joseph) show the colonial constructions. The bay of Môle Saint-Nicolas is also worth a visit.
Haiti offers a wide range of possibilities for sports enthusiasts: hiking or horseback riding in the heart of the three national parks, diving on the Arcadins coast, surfing near Jacmel, kitesurfing at the Môle Saint-Nicolas, etc.
From Jacmel, it is possible to follow the South coast from beach to beach to Les Cayes: Belle-Anse, Marigot, Ti Mouillage, La Source, Côtes-de-Fer. From Les Cayes to Jérémie, a second string of magnificent beaches takes place: Port-Salut, Port-à-Piment, Les Anglais, Apricot and Trou Bonbon...
The north coast is dotted with bays and a succession of coves, coves and capes. This particular landscape offers a varied and picturesque spectacle of great beauty. A sailing boat can be very useful to admire these natural indentations: Chouchou Bay, Fort-Liberté Bay, Acul Bay, the entire northern coast from Anse-à-Foleur to Cap-Hatien
