Antsirabe is an industrial town, famous for its thermal baths and rickshaws. It is characterized by large colonial buildings and wide avenues inherited from the missionaries. Orientation tour of the city. Meeting and sharing with ingenious artists and craftsmen (zebu horn or wood workers, miniature makers, embroiderers ...).

Then, continuation of the road to reach the town of Ambositra, multi-ethnic commercial crossroads where we meet geniuses for the work of precious woods. Small stop to discover sculptors and markers in their neighborhoods, skillful and friendly craftsmen who will be happy to welcome you in their homes.

Continuation of the road through the magnificent Betsileo country with its rice terraces.

Arrival in Fianarantsoa at the end of the day.

Before starting a day's drive, a visit on foot in Fianarantsoa with a historian guide.

Continuation of road to the south. A stop in the village reserve of "Anja" to meet lemurs, the Maki or Lemur Catta, emblem of the Big Island. It is also possible to meet curious reptiles such as the Parson's Chameleon (the largest of all species).

The walk can continue to a nice viewpoint.

Continuation to Ranohira, passing through the famous Southern gates and the Ihorombe plateau :

entry in the middle of the Bara territory. Arrival at the end of the day.

Day of visit of the Isalo National Park.

You find yourself in a setting dating from the Jurassic, alternating desert landscapes and green canyons.

The oldest geological formation of Madagascar reveals its secrets.

The park of Isalo offers sumptuous landscapes. Between lush forests and high plateaus with arid and deserted lands, you will not be bored. It is one of the most beautiful parks of Madagascar, with in these places of numerous circuits discovered.

Considered as the second largest national park of Madagascar, it contains an incredible wealth of biodiversity (endemic rupicultural vegetation such as Aloe, Euphorbias, Pachypodes, Kalanchoe) ... and a specific fauna.

Transfer to the entrance of the park for a hike crossing the most beautiful sites of the massif.

This quiet walk leads us through a most amazing landscape, to the natural swimming pool.

Hikes around the site are possible, a walk to the surrounding peaks allows you to enjoy the magnificent view.

Departure for Toliara via Ilakaka, the sapphire village where a rush attracted more than a thousand people in the 2000s.  We cross the vegetation of southern Madagascar: Euphorbiaceae, Aloe and the first baobabs. You will also notice the amazing Mahafaly tombs.

Arrival in the capital of South Madagascar also called the city of the sun: Tulear. Small city tour and walk around the market before reaching the hotel.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport to fly to the capital. 

Assistance by a guide and then connection to the flight to Diego Suarez.

Welcome by another guide.

Stroll in town to the market and the port before leaving for Joffreville where we will spend the night.

Departure for the visit of the Amber Mountain National Park.

In the company of the park guides we hike in the lush forest with exceptional vegetation.

Perched on a volcanic massif, it shelters a large number of endemic species.

During our walk, we cross tree ferns, orchids and palm trees.

The national park also has a large number of sacred waterfalls. And without forgetting the Malagasy fauna such as the crowned lemur, the Sanford lemur, chameleons, gecko and other uroplatus.

The birds in the park are as numerous as they are colourful.            

Picnic lunch in the park and return to the lodge in the afternoon.

After breakfast, direction to Ankarana National Park.

We stop on the road to visit the Red Tsingy. It is a rocky formation of red laterite formed by the erosion of the river Irodo.

After the visit, we take the main road again to the village of Mahamasina before continuing until we reach the Iharana Bush Camp Hotel.

Late afternoon walk to the lookout to reach the viewpoint via the trails of the massif. On arrival at the belvedere, an aperitif is served to us while we contemplate the magnificent scenery that surrounds us.

The Tsingy massif is accessible from the Camp either by canoe (15 mn) or on foot (10 mn).

We invite you to take a walk with, from the belvedere, a plunging view on the lake and the camp and in clear weather, a panorama that leads to the Mitsio archipelago. The paths here were laid out by a speleologist. The walk, without being engaged, goes through narrow passages and small step ladders.

Return to the hotel for lunch.

In the afternoon we will visit the Sakalava villages at the gates of the park.

Departure to the Sambirano valley, through its cocoa plantations and aromatic plants.

Embarkation on a speedboat in Ankify and crossing to Nosy Be.
