Day 1 : Rio de Janeiro - Arrival

As this is a tailor-made trip, we adapt the schedule of the visits according to the flight schedule. After a long flight + time difference, we generally offer you a little rest before starting to visit you. However, we remain open to any wishes you may have.

Day 2 : Visit of Corcovado and Sugarloaf Mountain

Accompanied by our guide, you will discover the mythical Christ the Redeemer, located at 700 meters above sea level, offering an indescribable view of the bay of Rio de Janeiro and the Maracanã Stadium. "Corcovado" is a distortion of the word "hunchback", in Portuguese, to designate the mountain which dominates Rio from its 710 metres and on which stands the giant statue (38m high, 28m span) of Christ the Redeemer, created by the French sculptor Paul Landowski. With his open arms, he personifies the welcome and hospitality of RIO. The panorama will allow you to understand the configuration of the city... One of the most beautiful views of RIO... Unforgettable!

Afternoon: Visit of the Sugar Loaf: Cable car ride up. You will appreciate the superb view of Rio de Janeiro, Guanabara Bay. 

Dinner at leisure. Night at the hotel.




Day 3 : Colonial Rio

Morning private tour of Colonial Rio with guide Stroll in the old Rio, Cultural Corridor, Tiradentes Palace, Lapa dos Mercadores Church, XV Square, Casa França-Brasil, Candelária Church, Saint Benoit Monastery and its gold-covered Church. We end the tour with a visit to the beautiful modern Metropolitan Cathedral, inspired by an Inca temple. 

In the afternoon, visit the Santa Teresa district and discover the Selaron stairs.

Dinner at leisure. Night at the hotel.




Day 4 : Paraty

Private transfer by car to Paraty (+/- 03h30 -04h drive).  Arrival in the early afternoon.

At the beginning of the 18th century, Paraty was known as a city of gold embarkation from Minas Gerais. The Portuguese used to travel by mule to the city of OuroPreto to look for gold.

Afternoon: Walking tour of the historical village of Paraty, you will pass through the steep and narrow streets of the old Paraty, an exclusively pedestrian historical centre. You will discover the superb Matriz church and you will cross the famous "Trade Street" and observe the facades of the colonial houses, such as the municipal chamber, a former Masonic lodge which has left its traces. You will end up at the port of the village to contemplate the fish market which dates back to the 18th century and is still functioning today.

Day 5 : Visit of the beautiful bay of Paraty

From 9:30 am, departure on foot to the port, about 15 minutes after the start of the walk. You take a seat on a small boat (private, just you and the guide), you make several stops on the small islands and islets of the bay, there will be masks, snorkels and flippers to discover the seabed and the tropical fish.

These fishermen are called caiçaras and their resources come mainly from fishing and small plantations. Around 1pm, you will have lunch on a private island, a heavenly place! Return to Paraty around 3pm.

Around 8am, departure from Paraty to Rio airport and flight to Iguaçu. Welcome by our guide and transfer to your hotel.

Day 7 : The falls

Located on the border between Brazil, Paraguay and Argentina, the Iguaçu Falls, declared a World Heritage Site in 1986 by UNESCO, is one of the most impressive cataracts on the planet (the first in terms of volume of water). You start visiting the falls on the Argentine side, by a small trail of 1 km around, in the middle of coatis, which brings us to the heart of the devil's gorges. On the Argentinian side, the approach is the most impressive, as you can get as close as possible thanks to a 5 km walkway just above the falls. Most of the falls are located in Argentinean territory. The Argentinean park has a small train that you can use as a guide for the hiking department. The same train will take you to the footbridges that lead to the Garganta del Diablo.

ZODIAC TOUR on the Argentine side (optional excursion). You will go down to the Parana River and board a zodiac. You will experience strong emotions as you go up the river with breathtaking falls, accelerations and curves. The sensations are guaranteed for 1 hour!

Day 8 : Salvador de Bahia

In the morning, visit of the Iguaçu Falls in Brazil. The waterfalls of the Paraná river are bigger than the Niagara Falls at 80 m high and 275 falls spread out to the south at 2500 m. On the Brazilian side you can see the Devil's Throat from which a huge cloud of steam rises and displays a splendid, almost permanent rainbow.

TROPICAL BIRD PARK, a visit to one of the ecological sanctuaries that allows for ecotourism. Discover the magnificent birds of the region, in a park located in the middle of the tropical forest. This is one of the ecological sanctuaries that allows ecotourism. More than 900 birds of 150 different species are protected in large aviaries, spread over 4 hectares. The tour is done on foot, in the middle of the forest, passing inside the different tanks. This path, about 1000 meters long, allows a unique approach to the different species.

In the afternoon, private transfer to Iguaçu airport. Flight to Salvador.  Salvador de Bahia, founded in 1549, is an invaluable source for the colonial art point of view and visitors of the following history of the profusion of exuberant decorations that reflect the talent and imagination of the artists of the XVII and XVIII centuries.

Day 9 : Bahia culture

Morning : Visit of the Upper Town, where the main monuments and old quarters are grouped. Discovery of Bahia's culture, its churches, its traditions and its mystic side. The visit of the oldest part of the city will be done on foot, in picturesque lanes, where we will see the church of São Francisco, the Pelourinho square, central square located in the heart of the historical centre, former place of flagellation of the slaves and now centre of the Bahian carnival.

Lunch at leisure.

Afternoon: devoted to the visit of the modern city, Lower City, to appreciate the natural and architectural contrasts of the city, with among others the Bonfim church, famous for its perfect symbiosis between Catholicism and Candomblé, the Monte Serrat with its panoramic view of the city, without forgetting the São Joaquim market full of colours and smells.

Day 10 : Belo Horizonte - Ouro Preto

Departure from Salvador. Flight to Belo Horizonte.

Welcome by our guide and private transfer to Ouro Preto (2h drive). Ouro Preto is a jewel of Brazilian colonial art with its steep streets, its old houses, its typical baroque art forming the largest homogeneous group of colonial art, prompting UNESCO to declare Ouro Preto a World Heritage Site. 

The city has 13 large churches, several monuments and public buildings. Among the main churches are São Francisco de Assis, Nossa Senhora do Carmo, Nossa Senhora do Rosário, Nossa Senhora do Pilar and Nossa Senhora da Conceição de Antônio Dias. 

Visit to the city of Ouro Preto, a jewel of Brazilian colonial art.

Lunch at leisure.
Visit to the Mineralogy Museum, the Church of Saint Francis of Assis and the House of the Counts.

Overnight at the hotel.

Important: for the visit of the colonial villages of Minas Gerais, it is possible to plan a tour based on the discovery of precious stones (Emerald, Diamond, Aquamarine, ..). plan 5 days / 4 nights




Day 11 : Ouro Preto

Departure for the visit of the city of Congonhas. Historical city, trade, pilgrimage and tourism.

Lunch at leisure.
Visit to the city of Sao Joao Del Rei. Visit to the church of São Francisco de Assis and the Railway Museum. Continuation to Tiradentes, visit of the Father Toledo Museum, the Church of Saint Anthony and the Fountain of Saint José. Tiradentes, a charming little colonial town nestled in the mountains, is the birthplace of the hero of Brazilian independence. Baroque architectural jewels, churches, small cobbled streets and period charm are fully preserved.

Day 12 : Tiradentes

Departure to the city of Petropolis (alt. 813 m) located at +/-04h from tiradentes 

Lunch at leisure.

Afternoon: Visit to the Imperial Museum. The palace which was the summer residence of the emperor D. Pedro II, as well as the Crystal Palace.
