12-day trip to Rwanda and Uganda

Upon arrival at Kigali international airport, you will go through customs and immigration, and you will be met by our company guide who will warmly welcome you to the Land of a thousand hills that Rwanda is known for, and later drive to your booked hotel accommodation for dinner and overnight stay.

Early morning enjoy your buffer breakfast and checkout of the hotel and drive heading to the western province, on your way visit the Ethnographic Museum in Southern Province, this will give you a great history of traditional ways of living among Rwandans and their past way of leadership of Kingship with an en route lunch.  You will reach in the afternoon at Nyungwe National Park heading for a canopy walk. This 70 meters suspended metallic bridge will give you a great overview of Nyungwe forest and on a lucky day spot one or two more primates in the forest as you take a walk on this bridge and later return in the afternoon for dinner and overnight stay.

Today, after your early morning cap of African coffee, you will leave your hotel to experience the natural forest of Nyungwe well known for having 13 species of primates, and transferred to the park for briefing and head for chimpanzee trekking. You will be entitled to one hour on finding the chimpanzees. During the chimpanzee trekking you may as well sight other primates such as the famous Congo colobus monkeys. After doing the chimpanzee trek, head for lunch before heading for a tea plantation visit. Dinner and overnight at the hotel

You will make up ready to catch up with the beautiful sun rise over Lake Kivu after just getting done with your morning breakfast. You will take a boat ride to explore the beautiful attractions within this great lake. You have a nature walk at one of the islands within this lake which is known for harboring thousands of the bats. This lake is also known as a birding paradise as it hosts a number of bird species like the comrand, pied kingfishers, weaver birds, heron to mention but a few. Later return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

In the morning after breakfast, you will drive to Kinunu for coffee plantation visit and testing experience, later continue your journey to Rubavu for having a city tour of Rubavu which is on the border with DRC. In the afternoon you will drive to Volcanoes NP for dinner and overnight.

Today after your warm early morning breakfast, you will be picked by our safari driver guide who will transfer you to the park headquarters for briefing and start off your day golden monkey trekking. Just like the gorilla trekking experience, the same applies to golden monkey trekking though not so hectic like gorilla trekking.  In the afternoon, ready for a village foot safari, to explore the indigenous local life with a taste of the traditional performance at Iby Iwacu cultural center and later transfer to Bwindi via Cyanika Border. Diner and overnight at the hotel.

Early morning cup of coffee, then prepare for the gorilla trekking briefing from the park headquarters and thereafter, you will enter the jungle with your packed lunch to search the shy mountain gorillas and enjoy their lifestyle in their real home. After meeting the gorillas, you can sit around these great apes for a whole hour watching their social life as you take pictures. On a gorilla safari, a reasonable degree of fitness is required as well as walking shoes, packed food and mineral water, insect repellent, sunscreen and hut. The gorilla tracking experience takes half or whole days depending on the movements of these primates. After this gorilla tracking experience you will return to your lodge for lunch. You will spend the evening relaxing and going through your great shots during your trekking as you wait for overnight stay.

Today after your relaxed breakfast, you will transfer to Bunyonyi, where you will have a wonderful relaxation moment, facing this great beautiful lake. Lunch will be served and head for a canoe ride in this beautiful spectacular lake, as you enjoy a moment of bird watching, and viewing a number of islands, hidden with this great lake. Number of bird species can as well be spotted here as it’s a birding paradise. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

After your relaxed morning breakfast, you get your bags ready for a long drive to Queen Elizabeth National park, Ishasha sector. You will have lunch and later you will head off for an evening game drive in search of the tree climbing lions, which make the Ishaha sector well known for. You will later return in the afternoon for dinner and overnight at the lodge.

After your early morning breakfast, you will head for a morning game drive to spot more tree climbing lions and other wildlife species including a number of bird life, before you later drive off to Queen Elizabeth to your booked lodge for lunch,

After lunch you will proceed for a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel to view the water dwelling birds and animals such as the pied kingfisher, African fish eagle, herons, darters to mention but a few and see animals such as buffalos, crocodiles, monitor lizards, elephants wallowing at the mad and much more. After boat cruise, you will proceed for a short evening game drive as you find your way back to lodge for dinner and overnight.

In the morning after breakfast, you will head to the National park for the lst game drive where you will spot many animals including lions, Giraffe, Zebra, antelopes, elephants, giraffes,.. You will go back in the afternoon for lunch and spend the remaining of the day relaxing.

You will have a relaxed breakfast, and later drive off to Kigali, You will have an enjoyable informative drive about the country, with great look over the country side plantations and garden, as you watch road side small scale business. You will have a number of stopovers, to stretch as you go about the ride. You will reach in the afternoon, head for a local restaurant to have the best local cuisine served to you while waiting to be transferred to the airport for departure.
