day 1:
Your arrival in Siem ReapArrival at Siem Reap airport, you will be welcomed by your driver and driven by private vehicle to your host family. Settling in & free lunch on site. Free time to discover the village with your host. In the middle of the afternoon, take a tuk tuk to the outskirts of Siem Reap to discover, among other things, a lotus farm and watch the magnificent sunset from the Phnom Krom hill. Dinner included at a local's home.
day 2:
The floating village and the Phare circusAfter your breakfast, you will leave by private vehicle and accompanied by an English-speaking guide for an unusual floating village. Boat trip to discover this way of life so far from our habits. Continuation of the trip by dugout in the flooded forest (depending on the season and the water level). Free lunch on your return to Siem Reap. In the afternoon, you will visit with Nathalie or Melanie various craftsmen installed in town who are keen to pass on and discover their multiple ancestral skills. At 6:15 pm, departure by tuk tuk for a dinner show at the Phare circus, in category B. Return to your accommodation after the show.
day 3:
AngkorEarly departure by tuk tuk with your English-speaking guide to admire the sunrise on the site of Angkor Wat, followed by the visit of this temple. Free breakfast on the site. Visit of the city of Angkor Thom with the Bayon, the Terrace of the Elephants and the Leper King and the Baphuon. Lunch in a traditional private house near Sras Srang, where you can then enjoy a well-deserved moment of relaxation. After lunch, visit Preah Khan temple, the former Royal Palace. Return to Siem Reap and dinner at leisure.
day 4:
Angkor and the silk preservation centreIn the late morning, departure by private vehicle with your English-speaking guide to visit the famous overgrown Tomb Raider temple, Ta Prohm. Lunch in a traditional Khmer house, after which you will take part in a traditional incense making workshop. After lunch you will visit a silk preservation centre with the French-Khmer owners. Your day will end with a visit to the Women's Citadel, Banteay Srey, located about 20 km north-east of Angkor. Return to Siem Reap. Dinner and show of traditional Khmer arts (included).
day 5:
Temples and countryside by mountain bikeDeparture from your accommodation for a mountain bike ride accompanied by an English-speaking guide in the countryside of Siem Reap, to discover the habits of the locals, the fauna, the flora, the markets and the local villages as well as the temples of the Roluos group: Preah Ko, Bakong and Lolei, far from the crowd of tourists Local lunch included in a Cambodian village. After lunch, relax and get back on the bikes to continue your visits with your guide. Return to the local house in the middle of the afternoon. Dinner at leisure.
day 6:
Cooking class in the countryside and departure to BattambangAfter your breakfast, departure by private tuk tuk to participate in a Cambodian cooking class in a village on the outskirts of the city, which will start with a visit to a local market to buy food. Lunch included and prepared by you. After lunch, departure by private vehicle to the west of the country and the charming colonial town of Battambang. Arrival at your hotel, installation and free time. Dinner at leisure (suggestion at the hotel or along the Sangker River).
day 7:
Visit to BattambangMorning of cultural visits by private tuk tuk and accompanied by an English-speaking guide, you will discover the authentic Cambodian countryside, the temple of Phnom Banan as well as workshops of local craftsmen. Return to the hotel in the late morning. Lunch at leisure. In the afternoon, you will leave by tuk tuk with your guide for a bamboo train ride in the countryside. Then visit Phnom Sampov at sunset to witness the flight of thousands of bats. Dinner at leisure.
day 8:
River cruise on the Tonle SapEarly departure for a cruise on the Tonle Sap River to Siem Reap. Free lunch to be planned for your crossing. Arrival in Siem Reap at the end of the day and transfer to your hotel by private tuk tuk. Installation and free time. Dinner at leisure.
day 9:
From Siem Reap to the banks of the MekongAfter your breakfast, check-out and departure by private vehicle to Kratie city. Arrival in Kratie, transfer and installation at your hotel. Free time to enjoy the quietness of Koh Trong island located in front of Kratie. Free dinner at the hotel.
day 10:
Meet the dolphins and the regionAfter your breakfast, meet your driver for a drive to visit Phnom Sambok and the pagoda there. Lunch at leisure in a local restaurant. Afternoon, continue with a fisherman's boat ride to meet the local endangered wildlife (Irrawaddy dolphins). Return to Kratie to your hotel, free time and dinner at leisure.
day 11:
Departure to Kampong ChamBreakfast and departure with your driver to Kampong Cham province. Free lunch on the road. Arrival at your homestay in the early afternoon. You will have some free time to settle in your bungalow and visit the farm and its many projects. At sunset, you will experience net fishing on the Mekong River with a local fisherman and then visit his fishing farm on the floating village. Dinner at leisure on site.
day 12:
Discovery of the surroundings of Kampong ChamAfter breakfast, departure by tuk tuk to visit Phnom Pros, Phnom Srei and Wat Nokor Bachey. Free lunch and return to the homestay. The afternoon will be free. You will have the possibility to rent bicycles and discover the surroundings by yourself and also to cross the Mekong River to explore with your bicycle a small island out of time, by taking a ferry for the crossing. Free dinner at your homestay.
day 13:
From Kampong Cham to Phnom PenhAfter your breakfast, early departure by private vehicle to Phnom Penh, the capital of the country. Free lunch upon arrival at the hotel. In the afternoon, free visits of the genocide museum (S-21) and the Killing Fields (Choeung Ek). Dinner at leisure.
day 14:
Discovery of Phnom PenhDeparture after your breakfast by tuk tuk for the "Heritage Tour" through the streets of the capital to explore its many architectural secrets. Lunch at leisure. In the afternoon, you will discover the Phnom Penh Protectorate with your english guide and the Central Market. In the late afternoon, your tuk tuk will take you to the river to admire the sunset. You will enjoy an aperitif cruise on board a boat. Dinner at leisure.
day 15:
Departure to KepDeparture after your breakfast with your driver to the south of the country and the seaside resort of Kep. Check-in at the hotel at the end of the morning and free lunch. Free afternoon (relaxation, swimming pool, walking...) Dinner at leisure.
day 16:
Kampot and the pepper plantationAfter your breakfast, departure by private vehicle to the charming neighbouring town of Kampot, for a kayak ride through the mangrove. Lunch at leisure. Continue with your driver to The Plantation (Certified Organic Kampot Pepper Farm) where you will be welcomed in a beautiful traditional Khmer house overlooking Secret Lake and Bokor Mountain. Full tour of the plantation to learn more about Kampot pepper, with a spice and pepper tasting and then a water buffalo cart ride at sunset. Dinner included.
day 17:
Cruise to the islandsWith an English-speaking guide, board a traditional Khmer fishing boat for an exotic and relaxing day on the islands of the Kep archipelago and their authentic fishing villages, far from any tourist activity. Lunch included (barbecue and drinks). Afterwards, you will have the opportunity to swim and snorkel. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Dinner at leisure.
day 18:
Visit of Kep and return to Phnom PenhAfter your breakfast, it's time to leave and you will have free time to visit the famous crab market. Lunch at leisure.
