• jour 1 :

  Marrakech → Ait Benhaddou → Ouarzazate → Dades Valley

  

  

  

  Depart from Marrakech and cross the majestic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m), offering breathtaking views of verdant valleys and traditional Berber villages. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou, a striking fortified village with impressive kasbahs. Continue to Ouarzazate, known as the “Gateway to the Sahara” and home to the renowned Atlas Film Studios. Journey through the captivating Valley of Roses and into the Dades Valley, known for its dramatic rock formations and lush landscapes. Overnight stay at a charming guesthouse in the Dades Valley.

  Dades Valley → Todra Gorge → Merzouga Desert

  

  

  

  

  After breakfast, continue through the rugged landscapes toward the Merzouga Desert. Explore the breathtaking Todra Gorge, with its towering cliffs and cool river flowing through. Pass through traditional Berber villages as the landscape transforms from rocky canyons to the arid expanses of the Sahara. Arrive in Merzouga, where you’ll switch to camels and trek through the rolling Erg Chebbi dunes during a stunning sunset. Reach the desert camp, where a delicious dinner, Berber music, and stargazing under the clear desert sky await. Overnight stay in a luxurious desert camp.

  Experience a full day of discovery in the Merzouga Desert. After a beautiful sunrise and breakfast, visit the nomadic families who have preserved their traditional lifestyle in the harsh desert environment. Enjoy tea with the nomads while learning about their customs, culture, and resilient way of life. Continue to explore the black desert, the Gnawa village of Khamlia, and the stunning oases scattered throughout the desert. Return to your desert camp or a guesthouse for relaxation and dinner.

  Bid farewell to the desert and travel through fascinating landscapes back towards Ouarzazate. Visit the market town of Rissani, famous for its bustling souks and historical significance as a caravan crossroads. Journey along the beautiful Draa Valley, lined with palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Arrive in Ouarzazate and explore the legendary Taourirt Kasbah. Overnight stay in a comfortable riad or hotel in Ouarzazate or Ait Benhaddou.

  Ouarzazate → Atlas Mountains → Marrakech
